The History of Townsville Appliance Service

Townsville Appliance Service is a family owned business that has been proudly servicing appliances in Townsville and surrounding districts since 1975. Bev and Doug Lye established the business operating from their home in Wulguru. The business soon outgrew this way of operating and it was decided it needed its own space. In 1977 the business was moved to Keane St, Currajong where it resided for 12 years.

The business was then shifted over to Leyland St, Garbutt in 1989 where it spent the next 9 years. The business made one more final move in 1998 to its current location today 46 Charles St, Aitkenvale. Bev and Doug decided at the end of Financial Year 2007 that they were ready to hand over the reins to their Son and Daughter in Law Matthew and Debbie where the business legacy is carried forward with great pride.
